Making Finals
Over the past few weeks I have continued working on my final garments. I applied the felting to the cardigan, doing double strands at the front and sides and a larger four strand design on the back. I continually went back and forth between felting and trying it on to make sure the placement of the lines was good. Luckily the strips could be easily removed and reattached to adjust the placement.
For the jumper I tarted at the back and worked my way to the front. I found that it works better to start at one pint and 'grow' the pattern outward rather than placing the shapes everywhere and filling in the gaps. I also found that longer narrower shapes worked better to achieve a uniform and flat embroidery.
